The Corktown Community Kitchen brings friends and neighbors together to prepare healthy all local/organic food for other friends and neighbors at our monthly donation-based Third Sunday Brunch. All are welcome and encouraged to inspire and inform discussions of local resilience, food security and environmental and social justice. Those who are able to give more help others and help to tip the scales in favor of the events continued success.

Founding Documents The Community Kitchen Initiative is informed and inspired by the Earth Charter, the People of Color Environmental Justice “Principles of Working Together“, Humane Education and the City of Detroit Policy on Food Security. We’re also inspired by the work of One World, Everybody Eats Community Cafe and the Canadian-based Fresh Choice Community Kitchens.
